We offer various interactive education programs that allow students to experience the Heritage Village.
See individual programs for specific booking details and costs.
Further Information:
All programs require a minimum of 10 students to book. All Education Program must be pre-booked. Bookings are on a first come basis. (We do require at least 2 chaperones per class/group and recommend a 1:6 chaperone to student ratio.)
We are an outdoor museum. Our programs take place outdoors and in a variety of heritage buildings that do not have air conditioning or modern heat. Please ensure participants dress for the weather. Appropriate footwear is important at the Village.
During cold weather programs, woodstoves/fireplaces are used for heating, which can be smoky.
Lunch: Please check individual program descriptions for details on lunches. Lunch space is only available at select times of the year.
Our lunch space is a shared space with other program participants.
Remember to bring your own pre-packed lunch. (We do NOT have a place to purchase food onsite.)
Visiting the Gift Shop: Denfield General Store acts as the museum’s gift shop. Gift Shop visits must be pre-scheduled at booking.
If you wish to visit the store, please ensure your transportation is able to accommodate a later departure. The store is not part of our scheduled program times. It usually takes approximately 30 minutes per 20 people to go through the store.
Do you have participants who require accommodation? Please let us know at booking and we will work with you to ensure a great experience!
Are you a Homeschool Group? All our programs are available for homeschool groups as well. Contact us for more details.
Please remember if anyone in your group is not feeling well or is potentially contagious please have them stay home. We want to ensure the well-being of all our participants, visitors, volunteers, and staff.
Cancellation Note: Groups cancelling less than 1 week in advance will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee unless they rebook. Our programs run rain, snow or shine- unless weather becomes extreme or busses are cancelled.
