General admission is free for support workers when general admission applies.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is an outdoor museum that tells the story of rural communities in the past.  As such, there are uneven packed-gravel roadways and grass paths throughout the Village.

    • When you enter the Heritage Village there is a cement path, with a gradual incline, that leads from the Visitor Entrance/Tollgate into the Heritage Village.

    • There are gravel pathways and ramps into the majority of our buildings. Some buildings have areas of mown grass leading to their entrance.

    • Please note: due to the age of the heritage structures there are sometimes small lips into doorways, unlevel floors, and smaller interior spaces. Most buildings are lit by natural light.

A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available for use at our Visitor Entrance/Tollgate.

Washrooms

  • The Village Washrooms are located near the entrance to the Village, behind the Village Café building.  (Note: Café is not open.)

  • Washrooms have accessible stalls, as well as change tables.

  • If you require access to an adult size change table please ask our Visitor Entrance/Tollgate staff.
