Group Tours

Tour Information

All tours must be pre-booked and are subject to availability.
Tours are not available on special event days.

Tours range in length and cost. Please see each tour description for more information.

Our guided and interactive guided tour are walking tours. Groups will walk along through the Village along gravel roadways and grass paths. These tours are only available from May to early October.

If your group has mobility restrictions please let us know or take a look at our Wagon or Bus tour options. Wagon tours are only available from May to September. We are able to accommodate bus tours at various times of the year. Bus tours are only available on days the Heritage Village is closed to the public.

  • Adults tours are recommended for people ages 14+.

  • All tours are led by a costumed guide.

  • Our tours do not visit every heritage building. Participants are welcome to explore the other buildings after their scheduled tour. (*Excluding Mondays*)

  • Tour lengths do not include arrival or departure allowances. Please consider this when scheduling your booking.

  • Denfield General Store acts as the museum’s gift shop. If you group wishes to visit the store before or after your tour please let us know. (Subject to staffing availability.)

 Group Sizes

  • We require a minimum of 10 people in order to book a guided tour.

  • Walking tours can accommodate up to 50 people at a time (split into group sizes of 25).

  • Wagon tours can accommodate 10-15 people due to space.

    • This tour is designed for adults who are unable to walk the tour route. However, there are stairs to climb onto the wagon. This tour does not include interiors of buildings.

  • Bus tours are available for groups/organizations who have their own bus. (The museum does not have busses.)

    • Please note: large school busses will not be able to maneuver in the Village. The Village does not have busses.

Payment

  • Payment is due upon arrival. We ask that groups make one single payment. Invoices and receipts may be issued if requested. We accept exact cash, debit, credit, or cheques.
