Celebrating Community

Kindergarten, Grade 1

This education program is designed to introduce younger students to life in 19th century communities through hands-on interactive activities. Students will discover how early settler communities celebrated and how children helped with daily chores. Students will learn how the responsibilities of children may have changed over time and compare their lives today to those of children in the past.

Half Day Program - $7.00 per student

  • Choose either an AM Session or a PM Session

    • AM Session: 9:45 am Arrival & 11:35 am Departure 

    • PM Session: 11:45 am Arrival & 1:30 pm Departure

  • Half Day Program includes 3 learning stations delivered by our Museum Educators. 

  • If you would like to stay for lunch onsite (before or after your session) please ask at booking.

  • Program Capacity: Up to 3 classes (approximately 60-75 students)

  • Chaperones and Teachers are free.

Full Day Program - $14.00 per student

  • Grade 1 Only

  • Full Day: 9:45 am Arrival & 1:30 pm Departure

    • Program includes 6 learning stations delivered by our Museum Educators. 

    • A short lunch break is scheduled into the middle of the day.

  • Program Capacity: Up to 3 classes (approximately 60-75 students)

  • Chaperones and Teachers are free.
