A Day in the Life

Grades 2, 3

In the 1800s, the village was a busy and productive place. This Education program offers students the opportunity to experience the hard work expected of children and villagers in the past. Visit the log house, learn 19th century skills, watch an apprentice work, role play in the one room school, and discover the importance of community.  During their visit students will learn about rural life in this region, while comparing and contrasting their own life to the lives of people from the past.
