Dominion Day

Monday, July 1st

On the 1st of July, 1867, Canada became a self-governing colony within the British Empire. Relive the past and discover the events surrounding the first Dominion Day (now Canada Day). Join us for birthday cake and lemonade on the green or visit our Village Cafe for a buffet featuring BBQ ribs and chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and traditional rice pudding.

Other events for the day will include patriotic speeches, and vintage baseball, just to name a few of the activities that bring the past to life at Fanshawe Pioneer Village!
