Youth Experience Summer Day Camp

Discover how the past is brought to life!

The Fanshawe Pioneer Village Youth Experience Camp is designed for youth 13-16 years old with a unique interest in history. During camp youth will be introduced to the work that goes into running a museum- from curatorial practices to presenting history to the public. Campers will explore and discover our artifacts collection and help behind the scenes in our curatorial department. They will then spend a day focused on a particular theme connected to 1800s history and life. Campers will be able to choose this theme during registration and will have the opportunity to use 19th century skills to produce an item to take home with them. On their last day campers will be able to take these new skills and participate in age appropriate activities, while sharing their new knowledge with each other and visitors.
